Elias Keane

I grew up in the English Midlands and now write from Oregon, which means I've spent most of my life as the person slightly outside the frame—watching, listening, noticing the things people don't say out loud. That vantage point ended up being the whole point of my fiction.

I write queer stories across genres. A gaslamp city that runs on human souls. A serial-killer mystery in a small town that asks who, then asks why. A thriller about power and the poison it breeds. A romance that just wants to make you ache and then make it right. They look like different books, and they are—but underneath, they're the same story told in different keys: love that holds when everything around it shifts, the families we build when the ones we're given don't fit, and the strange relief of finally being seen by someone.

I publish under a pen name. It lets the work stand on its own, which is where I'd rather the attention go.

Every series I write ends the same way it promises to: two men, against the odds, earning their happy ever after.

The world changes. The love doesn't. Thanks for being here.

Start with Still Water if you want the literary crime entry point. Start with The Hollow Asylum (exclusive free download on this website) if you want the strangest, most ambitious one. Start with In the Serpent's Shadow if you want the political thriller. Start with The Timber Wolf: A Bear Hunt Story (also exclusively free to my subscribers) if you want the love story.
