Hunting the Silver Fox
About
Spice Level: ****
Eighteen months ago, rugged bowhunter Augie Vale accidentally shot the silver fox who would steal his heart.
Now, trapped at his lover’s lavish family wedding in Jackson Hole, Augie must protect Wes from a predator far more dangerous than his trigger finger, before the man he loves disappears right in front of him.
Augie and Wes Harper share a quiet, happy life in the high desert of Sisters, Oregon. They’ve built something real: shared coffee rituals, a Chesapeake Bay retriever who thinks she’s their third roommate, and the kind of love that still makes Wes’s pulse race every morning.
Then Wes’s estranged mother invites them to her extravagant wedding at a luxury lodge in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. To the rest of the family, Augie is just the “traveling companion.” To Wes, he’s the only man who has ever seen him—really seen him.
But returning to his family’s glittering world forces Wes back into the role he’s spent years escaping: the quiet, shrinking son who never measures up. And his mother’s wealthy, charming fiancé has taken a disturbing, predatory interest in him. As old family wounds reopen and the pressure mounts, Wes starts to disappear again, right in front of Augie’s eyes.
Augie didn’t survive a blizzard and an accidental shooting just to watch the love of his life fade away. In the shadow of the Tetons, this protective bear will do whatever it takes to remind his silver fox exactly who he belongs to, body, heart, and soul.
Steamy, emotional, and fiercely romantic, Hunting the Silver Fox is an age-gap MM romance about healing from trauma, found family, and the kind of love that refuses to let you vanish.
Content note: This novel includes references to past sexual abuse of a minor, depictions of predatory behavior toward an adult survivor, and explicit consensual sex between adult men.
Perfect for fans of hurt/comfort, protective big guys, and second-chance-found-family romances.

5 out of 5 stars - A Gripping and Unforgettable Read
This is a nail-biting story filled with unexpected twists, emotional depth, and a compelling love triangle that keeps you turning the pages. Exceptionally well written, the narrative explores the intricate and sensitive relationships between family members and loved ones with great skill and emotion. The story follows Wes’s mother and her long-awaited wedding to the wrong person, while also revealing the secret relationship between Wes and Augie, which must remain hidden for the sake of the family. As past wounds and painful memories resurface through similar events, the characters are forced to confront the need for forgiveness and healing.
The novel is completely spellbinding and beautifully balances emotional drama with thriller and mystery elements. I could easily imagine this story being adapted into a fantastic movie.
I simply could not put this book down. For readers looking for something truly engaging, emotional, and different from the ordinary, this book is an absolute must-read.
