I have been writing for a few years now and have just decided to embark on this self publishing journey. It is to prove things to myself more than anything else but I am discovering that the greatest thrill is to see people enjoy my books.

I grew up in the English Midlands and now write from Oregon, which means I’ve spent most of my life as the person slightly outside the frame, noticing the things people don’t say out loud. That vantage point ended up being the whole point of my fiction.
I write queer stories across genres. The Hollow Clock Saga is set in a gaslamp city that runs on human souls. The Lexingfield Murders is a small-town serial-killer mystery that asks who, then asks why. The Rourke Correlation is a political thriller about power and the poison it breeds. On the romance side, the Windward Cup Dynasty follows a broke Texas ranch hand into the old-money world of polo, and the Bear Hunt stories belong to two grown men in the Cascades, written to make you ache and then make it right.
They look like different books, and they are. Underneath, though, they’re the same story told in different keys: love that holds when everything around it shifts, and the families we build when the ones we’re given don’t fit. Mostly, they’re about the strange relief of finally being seen by someone.
I publish under a pen name. It lets the work stand on its own, which is where I’d rather the attention go.
Every series I write ends the same way it promises to: two men, against the odds, earning their happy ever after.
